Part 3- Chapter 7

Just be kind.               Water looked just as Maia had imagined. Of corse, she didn't actually see but as he could read her mind - and apparently her mental images too- he had laughed when the image of him rose to her mind and said,            Precisely correct, Maia. But I must say, my nose is rather sharper than the one you've depicted. Maia rose the day after Anna left at leaving plenty at time for her to meditate, breakfast, and collect her twirling thoughts. But pretty soon she heard a Water in her head.               Good morning, Maia! Are you ready?               Maia paused, thinking whether to take the snarky route or the docile one. She was just about to chose docile when Water said, Definitely decide ...

Part 3- Chapter 6

Tim’s birthday came and went. It will be painstakingly boring to have the reader live through the last month of Anna’s time with Maia, so I will summarize what they accomplished. Amongst other things, these were the basic talents that she had learned to harness. And now, it was tim...

Part 3- Chapter 5

“Good morning!”        “AH!” Yelled Maia. She turned to see Tim, and with a sudden realization saw how the past four months had so drastically changed him. His once clenched brow was now relaxed and of yore his eyes had been drooping and sad.  But now they were alert and sparkling.          “Do you see what’s coming over the trees, sister?”           “The sun?” She said dubiously. Was it a trick question?           “Don’t answer a question with a question,” he said, settling down next to her. “But yes. It’s the sun. And a new morning. And my bi-“          “Birthday! Crickets! How could I forget?”             He smiled. “Well you’ll be 15 in eight months. Let’s see if I remember,” he said h...
