Part 3- Chapter 3

Part 3 Chapter 3 Confinement can be physical and mental “I-I- oh help me Anna!” cried Maia as she landed lightly on her feet, once Water released her from her confinement. But before they reached Anna, her father and brother enveloped her in a big hug.  “Not my Maia. No one is taking Maia away from me.” “Not after Mother. We can't lose you too, sister!”  Tears filled her eyes, “No one is taking me, Father,  Tim.”   With a sharp ‘hisss’ the locket given to her all those weeks ago by Mary burned against Maia’s skin. Acting upon instinct, Maia clutched it. As soon as her fingers touched it, it cooled. Grooves formed beneath her fingers, and the outline of a wave engraved itself upon the front of the locket. Maia jerked her head up, her eyes seeking Anna’s, whom throughout her journey she had turned towards for answers. Anna took Maia’s wet hand within her own dry one. “Come, child.” She said softly. Maia felt the eyes of all on her, and pretty soon, Daring a...

Part 3                               Chapter 2 Maybe it happened because you were thinking about it Or maybe you were thinking about it because it happened. As everyone looked at Maia in utter disbelief, she was lost in her own world. Well, her own bubble. Completely unaware of anything, she hung suspended in a pearly bubble of Water. They could see in, but she could not see out. But she could see in her heart and head. And that was what was important now.  Sydney’s chiseled jaw hung open. Phoebe was clutching her mother's arm with a desperate hold. Likewise, mother clung to daughter. Benjamin stood shockingly still, his eyes riveted to the bubble tha...

Part 3- Chapter 1

Part 3 Chapter 1 Oftentimes it is true, that when someone enters an argument refusing to be swayed, and making exaggerated and ludicrous statements, they will end up losing the debate.   “ Egad!” “Mother!” “The sun is just rising!” “Alright, alright, we get the message!” *** Darling wasnt quite sure if everything was alright with her. The night before, after dismissing Tim, Maia, and Phoebe, she was feeling quite all right. After Anna spoke to Sydney, they discussed what was to happen. Darling offered to wake up the kids at the crack of dawn, and Anna happily complied. Teenagers were not her forte. When Darling arose, she dressed and came down the stairs. She would wake up Tim first. She knocked on his door and called, “Tim… it's time to wake up. Get dressed and come downstairs for breakfast. We are beginning soon! And wake your father in the other room.” Next, Sydney. This wouldn't be fun. She hammered on his door and- “Sydney Alastair! Get your p...

Chapter 10 Part 2- The Dawning      There will always be people whom you dislike.      Always.           “Phoebe…” said Darling slowly, with a deep and dramatic sigh. “Ti-” “Tim and Maia.” said Anna briskly. “Apologies, Darling. But we need to get this done. No time for dramatics. What we called you here to talk it about-” “Is as follows,” said Darling smoothly cutting in. “Anna has decided to make all of our lives harder, and wants Sydney to join the training.” Tim looked skeptical, having met Sydney and his opinion been drastically changed  Maia looked defiant. Phoebe, placid.  “I dont want to make your lives harder. ‘Ignore the madman’ was the greatest advice I ever received. Anyway, I sense great potential in him...and we dont want the Tesera having him on their side- trust me.” In walked Benjamin. “How opportune! I was just going to tell them about you and Mary.” said Anna. “There is one wa...
